Roy Cooper: Just last night, I was with a woman who came up to me in tears. She talked about the brain surgery she had to have and couldn't get before. She hugged me and said, "I want you to know that Medicaid expansion saved my life."

This is the kind of inspirational story that enrages Republicans.
I have Crohn's. B4 the ACA I was paying almost $500 a month for insurance and it came with a long list of exclusions. Basically anything that could be remotely associated with the Crohn's was not covered. With the ACA I was able to finally get the care I needed
I understand. I’m a ostomate and my supplies alone would be unaffordable without Medicare. I was lucky. I had ACA for my year without Medicare when I went on disability.
Healthcare is a human right.
