FORbEST Project Manager Ramona Arechiga joined Session 5 – Comparing Models: Between Conservation and Management, discussing how the project aims to protect and restore forest biodiversity across different management approaches, from strict protection to active management.
🌍 The discussion explored old-growth forest conservation, natural dynamics silviculture, traditional forest practices and the importance of recognising forests as interconnected social and ecological systems.
