Life can be painful, but at least you aren't attuned for an immortal silver spirit until your body gives out.

We want Never’s End to feel alive, and that means giving its people the means to survive. 🍞 Reclaiming the Mill restores a vital food source for villagers while providing your party with fresh bread and better rest at Taverns.

Never's End features a unique art style and aesthetic that contrasts sharply with the dark story and worldbuilding in the game. 🪦 In this "behind the scenes" video, Ryan, Creative Director, explains how we blend the cute visuals with deep game mechanics and playstyles.

We're building Never’s End as a dark fantasy world where survival is never guaranteed. Made of living silver, the immortal Acolyte rises again and again to face the horrors consuming a world ravaged by the Never.

In a world consumed by the Never, death is just another opportunity. ☠️ Possess villagers, wield the battlefield itself, and sacrifice whoever you must to push deeper into a dying world for the sake of those who remain.

Foraging for mushrooms is dangerous in reality, but in Never's End, mushrooms provide on-the-fly Stamina and Time recovery without the risk. 🍄 Forage what you can to ensure you're ready to tackle your next fight!

Spiders? SPIDERS! Kill it with fire! 🔥

Elevation and positioning matter in Never's End. Does the enemy have the high ground? Thrown logs have a special effect of pushing them back. You can make them pay for their position by knocking them off the high ledge. 🎯

We wanted fire to be a powerful tool that rewards careful planning. Fire from magic, bombs, or enemy attacks can quickly spread beyond your control, so using it effectively means considering when and where to ignite it. 🔥

We want every shield in Never's End to serve a different purpose. Bucklers are quick, efficient, and easy on Time-cost, while tower shields trade speed for superior protection. The Shieldsmith stocks both, so choose the defense that fits your playstyle. 🛡️

We want field repairs and enemy gear to feel dynamic without limiting how you fight. In Never's End, how you win determines what you can salvage. Use piercing attacks to bypass armor, flails to get around blocking, or avoid headshots to keep that helmet intact.

In Never's End, the position of enemies can drastically affect your weapon's performance. With crossbows, you can't let them get too close, or you're likely to miss the shot.🎯 Push them out of your personal space and put them down! 🫸

In Never's End, we want the Weaponsmith to be more than a place to buy stronger gear. With high-quality steel martial weapons and unique attack patterns and effects, it's where you can equip your fighters and build a team around your strategy. ⚔️

Stand your ground or get out of the way? 🛡️ In Never’s End, Blocking absorbs damage with your shield, while Evasion avoids it entirely. Flanking, status effects, armor, and weapons can all change your chances.

We added a feature to our indie turn-based tactics game where your companion cat/backpack can cook your food. Could we have made this mechanic more normal? Probably. But then we wouldn’t get to make the cat cook spider meat.
