Since Russia’s 2022 invasion, verified Ukrainian deaths include over 17,000 civilians (UN minimum; thousands more unconfirmed in occupied areas) and at least 55,000–96,000+ soldiers, with Western intelligence estimating total military fatalities between 125,000 and 150,000+.
