Why is no one talking about PROSECTING the court for corruption???

Harlan Crow literally owns Clanace Thomas' mother's house FFS!

That is corruption and prosecuting that is the LAW!
I for one, will not vote for a party that nominated this monster baby killer to be president

I am pure as the water from a melting glacier. Mind as clear as all the CO² in the air. Rebel with uber causes

You will thank me once Utopia on Earth is here

It's so life-affirming to have a major politician adopt a policy you've been advocating for 10 years!
kfr @franmoore3730.bsky.social · 22/10/2026 01:54
Now do my other policy change. TERM LIMITS on SCOTUS... 18 years sounds totally reasonable (3 terms for a Senator, which is another idea I have, same for Congressman 18 years tops).
And in 13 seconds
@ellenahzulu.bsky.social · 22/10/2026 01:06
I worry that the GOP is gonna railroad this after the midterms.
Expanding *to 13* is the moderate position. I would support 47, in honor of Trump, who made this necessary. 45, if you must.
@ladiaz.bsky.social · 22/10/2026 00:39
what's yours? short of a constitutional amendment this is the simplest solution not limited by the constitution.
Impeach the current corrupt members and replace them with members that are not corrupt.
If we don’t expand the court, these people will never be held accountable.
@katherinemary.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 23:40
👌👏🤞🤞💙
That's fine and all, but it doesn't matter if there are no consequences for the crooks like Alito, Thomas, and Kavanaugh as well as the Chief Justice that enabled the corruption of this court
Mona Jones @mojonz.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 23:30
And a first step.
@rationalpear.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 23:21
13 judges is court packing. 30 judges is court reform. roll in double the size of the lower courts and we are talking. but of course hillary, ever the incrementalist, wants to take baby steps when the house is on fire.
@solar100.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 23:21
Go away Hillary! I didn't care about your "emails" but your time is over! Never again do we nominate a nepo person! No more Bushes, no more Clintons and for sure no more trumps!!
@rationalpear.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 23:19
no. 2 judges for every district. if we are just trying make some nice clean formula (which i find silly), why not 2x the number of districts? why not 1 for every 10 million ppl? so 33-34 judges?

the more the better. make it impossible to control, and each appointment insignificant.
@benjdm.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 23:11
I hold the extreme position where we classify the 6 conservatives as enemy combatants and waterboard them until they admit they are communists attacking America.
Thirteen ain’t enough!

badfaithtimes.com/thirteen-sup...
Thirteen Supreme Court Justices? Those Are Rookie Numbers.
A functional democracy can't have a single SCOTUS swing vote determining the course of history
Start with 200 and compromise with 29
Speaking my language. I say 19
Kaerick @kaerick.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 23:15
Start with 29, which would be 3 SCOTUS per US Federal Appellate Court. Be willing to see that go to 9 per court, or 117.

Need to make sure the 9 judging cases is randomly assigned, instead of tailored to specific members of SCOTUS.
The nominations and the confirmation have become so partisan you are just getting very partisan judges.

Kavanaugh, Alito, Roberts, Barrett and Thomas all worked in either the Bush or Reagan administrations or campaigns.

That's right, 5 of the 6 Republican appointees had a political background.
This one justice for each circuit bit is silly. There used to be circuit riding. We have had a court of appeals since around 1891. Not having a justice for the federal circuit isn't much of a burden. If it sells okay, but I'm not buying it.

Join me on the further end of the spectrum in calling for the entire federal judiciary to be doubled:

I feel Dems are painting themselves into a corner with this 13 justices for SCOTUS. First, the whole judiciary should be expanded. Second, Dems need to be maximalists with expanding SCOTUS, like 20+. Start negotiating from high and if 13 is the end result, I can respect that. But don't start low.
@fourlights1701.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 20:56
Impeach the corrupt members of the court and remove them. Then hold up and replacements till after the next election.
Canary @vaelis.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 20:49
Yup, the more radical idea is to embrace originalism as the troll that it always was and refuse to honor the Marbury precedent. Then, using that justification, throw out any SC case decided under originalism. I only bring it up to show that yeah, leaving things as-is and adding justices is moderate.
Every federal district should have its own Supreme Court Justice for proper representation.
Dennis @cabezon.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 20:17
Always good to hear the ultimate loser’s take on things. Pretty right on in this case, coincidentally.
She got more votes, incel
The problem is that President Fuckface will still be in power for 2 more years.
Politicians lie,

but sometimes they tell the truth about themselves in ways they didn't mean to
jjmplsmn @jjmplsmn.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 19:54
The centrists are caving.
my understanding is that HRC is basically a republican so this must be the position of the typical republican
@raoulduke.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 21:32
The nature of lesser evil voting is that the lesser evil continuously gets more evil as the greater evil gets more evil, and eventually the lesser evil is as evil as the greater evil used to be.
She's a traditionalist and worked as a young lawyer on Nixon's impeachment, very much not a Republican?
Tubbles @tubbles.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 19:46
Expand to 26 Justices. Two per Circuit would essentially make it impossible for anyone to rig it, especially if Democrats rig it with people who aren't fucking assholes first.
Minimum two per Circuit to start, then rush them through all in a single D admin so the R's have something to bitch about for another 100 years or until the trials complete
@nikeomag.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 19:44
yknow what? I'm with her.
@amorganchun.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 19:22
Yes! Expand the Supreme Court to 13! It would solve so many problems with the current court’s back log and reliance on the shadow docket. Then, institute an ethics code and impeach the Justices who perjured to get appointed or self-dealt. And expand the House of Reps.
Supreme 13 @supreme13.org · 21/10/2026 19:16
Absolutely! 13 justices for 13 circuits!
shep @shepherdone.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 18:15
It's also insufficient. All the Republican Supremes should be "retired" for betraying their oaths to the Constitution and the American people.
GC Rust @gcrust.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 18:11
No, I am 100% onboard with 13 Justices for 13 circuits.
I’d go higher so that it doesn’t matter anymore. 19 justices. They can still do the job but no president would ever get to appoint enough to make a difference.
This was original intent 240 years ago.

The root issue with 99.9% of all of our political problems is the obscene tap dance that was done around slavery when all of this was originally written.

If not for that, the way the Senate is structured, states, electoral college, etc.... wouldn't exist.
Supreme 13 @supreme13.org · 21/10/2026 18:11
That’s what we’ve been saying!

supreme13.org
Expand the Supreme Court to 13 Justices | Supreme 13
Supreme 13 advocates expanding the U.S. Supreme Court from 9 to 13 justices to restore balance, better reflect the nation, and rebuild public trust.
Timing matters. Perhaps wait a couple more years and appoint some sanity to the new seats.
How does expanding the court solve the underlying issue of corruption and capitalism? Corrupt administrations will, in time, pack the court with corrupt judges regardless the number of total justices. It may take decades to accomplish but it will still happen.

Use the rules in place & impeach.
What’s this clip from?
If the next Democratic president tested the limits of presidential immunity under US v Trump by removing a few justices with prejudice, that would be bad. It would also probably ensure it was thrown on the trash heap.
While we’re at it, can the rest of us (and not just senators) vote for the third branch of government, the way we already do at the state level? (And likewise make them finite terms, not lifetime)
@octaviuz.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 21:43
John Roberts has overseen an unconscionable level of partisanship at the Court.
Hmm, would more judicial elections be helpful?
The mind, it boggles.

Real accountability would be the impeachments of multiple justices who betrayed their oaths.
But not while a Republican can pick their successors.
That’s what I have been saying. Expanding the number of judges does nothing except give a corrupt government the same ability to pack a court with more corrupt judges. There are means in place to remove the corrupt judges. Just freaking do that.
A goil can dream
@galibygolly.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 17:55
YES!!
At this point guillotines are, or at least tribunals 🤷
Nah. Force Alito, Thomas, Roberts, Kavanaugh to all share one tiny basement office.

The building was rundown and we had to close your offices for remodeling. It will be done sometime around a quarter to never.
@blondbomber.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 17:49
Expanding the court is the only position….expanding the Congress also.
@davemc5192.bsky.social · 21/10/2026 17:49
💯
I say 3 justices per circuit. 🤷🏻‍♂️
That rotate on 7 year terms back down to the circuits. Mandatory retirement at age 85.
99 person court 999 person congress I'm serious on this
Repeal the Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929!
