October 18th was Merlin's birthday. I tried to post a video on that day but failed. This was the hardest video for me to make. It brought back so many memories. What I miss the most is how he played with Phoebe. She adored him. I also wanted to show him running... not in pain. We miss you Merlin. ❤️

Give it time. I couldn't even look at pictures for the first year. Now I bump into stuff all over my files (our Berner Beatrix was my muse, passed of cancer Sept '23) and it just makes me smile and yeah...it's often accompanied by tears, but that's ok. It's real love. Not everyone gets to know it.

We have a senior pup and are really close to making a rainbow bridge appointment. I'm hoping she makes it to Thanksgiving when the kids come home so they can say goodbye, but she's not doing well...

Just an amazing video into a relationship that was and is very special. I love that Phoebe and Merlin were best friends. You can tell right away how they love each other. The love we have for our pets is untethered. It is deep and beautiful. I think of all my pups I had on their birthdays. ❤️
