In that diary there was a picture of a Qiang shaman wearing a monkey skin hat and using a sheepskin drum which are items that are used in some exorcism ceremonies or to get rid of demons.
This has the potential to link up with Fade's power because karabasan and the whole concept of nightmare also has the spooky demon elements to it. What if these old traditions could have been ways to control some aspects of different radiances?
